Welcome to another Explore Some More blog post, following up on on Explore Together Sundays. This week we took a look
at 1 Corinthians 10:31 asked ourselves these questions:
Susie had been looking at the passage during the week and got us started by letting us know some of what she had discovered.
In amongst all the good stuff she shared was her wonderful rephrasing of the verse to “So whether you eat or drink, live your life in a way that brings pride and pleasure to God”. After that we all started to find the answers by chatting, creating pipe cleaner models, reading, listening and making art. When the different groups fedback what they found, the range of perspectives was amazing.
This time round I found myself in the colour zone, where we were creating art as a way of reflecting on the passage. If you haven’t given it a try I certainly recommend it. I started to sketch a teaspoon as a way on pondering what it meant to glorify God in everything. As you can see I had a few attempts and through the process I was reminded that Gods grace is enough to cover the mistakes we make and that Jesus came so we could have life in all its fullness.
